Friends American Grill Coming to Buford, Winder
Friends American Grill, a neighborhood grill and bar with locations in Dacula, Suwanee and Dawsonville, has announced the opening of two new locations. Plans are under way to open Friends Buford Grill in January 2014 and Friends Winder Grill in the 2nd quarter of 2014.
Friends Buford Grill will be located at 33 Buford Village Way. The restaurant is planned directly across the street from the new Community Center and Theater at the intersection of Buford Hwy. and Hamilton Mill Road. The most recent tenant in that location was Rick Tanner’s Grill and Bar. Some of Friends’ neighbors will be Dominick’s Italian Restaurant and Fuego Mexican Grill. The Winder Friends will be located in Downtown Winder in the current Loco’s space.
Since opening their first location in April of 2010, Friends has been well received by its customers and continues to grow. The 2nd location in Dawsonville was opened in August of 2012 and the Suwanee location in April of 2013.
Their menu is very diverse, with options of fresh hand-cut steaks, fresh-ground burgers, sandwiches, wraps, chicken wings, pasta and traditional American dishes. Daily Specials are available at both lunch and dinner.
Entertainment plays a major role, and Friends will offer Live Music on Friday and Saturdays. As well, Team Trivia is a big hit on Thursday nights. The NFL Ticket is also available so no games will be missed.
Friends American Grill is a supporter of their community through local Football College Scholarships that they offer, as well as their annual Ansley’s Easter Fundraiser held to benefit families of cancer stricken children.
Friends is owned by Ray Stanjevich and Suzanne Cartwright, both long term residents of Gwinnett County.
